price wise it's a decent deal, but condition is paramount, don't just look for the lowest priced car, look for the lowest priced car in best condition. It's hard for people on a car forum to give objective advice about a car that we can't inspect mechanically.
yeah of course, just wanted to get an idea of price. I'll definitely go take a look at the car.

and I'd totally buy your car if i was on the east coast

Would it be better to buy an S from a private party or at the dealer? Even if I'm looking for something with low mileage, wouldn't it be better to get one from the dealer with warranty in case something decides to crap out on me? Or would it most likely be cheaper to fix something myself that went wrong with an S from a private party with the money I saved? Sorry if this has been asked before.. I'm pretty new here!

You'll find a better price with a private party.

imo buying a car person to person is the ideal thing to do. You can buy a car from a dealer, but I'd suggest to have your financing arranged before you enter a dealer to negotiate the price on your next car.
Check out CarBuyingTips.com it's the best website out there to help with you with absolutely every question you have when buying a used vehicle.

oh and always check the car's vin number with AUTOCHECK not Carfax. They are a part of Experian and are far more detailed when reporting accidents than Carfax. A 20 vehicles check runs you about $40.

I'll have to check mine on Autocheck. My car that I bought had no issues with it, but I'll try that site with my VIN number.

What about this one?
It's on autotrader but the link is too long so here's the tinyurl: http://tinyurl.com/ybyfjt7

" I bought this car about a year and a half ago from Sierra Honda and it was a lease return and Certified Honda Vehicle."

Is it leased then? Not sure what he's saying :|

And this one?

16999 is a decent price for that one and you could probably talk him down some. Pretty low mileage and the red/black interior is kind of rare, isn't it? Even if it isn't rare it's a cool color combo. The only question I'd have is why did they have to put a brand new top on it after only 5 years?

"Lease return" means the original owner returned it to Honda when his lease was over, then Honda resold it as a Certified Used Honda.
