Ok, I'm getting sick of looking, and getting impatient now looking for a car..

Fortunately I know some people up near Detroit (where this car is located), so I can have them take a look at it.. but anyone care to throw in their 2 cents what is fair and what I should pay (assuming it's really in very good condition)? It's a sebring silver '04 w/ ~16k miles certified used honda. I'm thinking if I could get it for 16.5k, it's probably worth the hassle..

I'd be flying in from out of state to purchase it and drive it home (a good 9+ hrs ). Good way to get used to the car. lol The fact that it's certified certainly helps, but anyone care to give me the details on exactly what certified means? Will ANY honda dealership service it should anything go wrong or only the original dealership? TIA for your input!

Any Honda dealership will be able to provide you with warraty service. It would be absolutely crazy to have to go back to the Honda that the car was certified at.

IMHO you'd e better off looking for cars with less miles. There are lots of S2000s with less than 40k in your price range.

#2 looked pretty good. They advertise the car as a 2003, but have it listed as a 2002 in the description though. I would certainly stay away from #3.

Do you want an AP1 or AP2??

price wise it's a decent deal, but condition is paramount, don't just look for the lowest priced car, look for the lowest priced car in best condition. It's hard for people on a car forum to give objective advice about a car that we can't inspect mechanically.

what can i say, i can't even sell my my02 with 78k miles for 10k with the only mechanical issue being a slipping clutch. But depending on ur regional location and the number of available cars in ur area, you might be able to command a higher asking price than me.
