-Official- Is this car worth it thread
Need help big time guys! I'm torn between 2 gpw s2k. Both of them price at $23000. The first one is a 05 with 16000 miles with tan interior. It come with a oem hard top, side strike, and front lip. Second one is 07 with red/blk interior with 21000 miles, and come with rims and coilover.
Which one is a better buy? Please help!

Okay. So I put the '04 deal on hold...just came across an '05 suzuka blue with 22k miles. The '04 had 30k.
The 2005 is stock and supposed to be mint! It's owned by an older gentleman who is downsizing his garage. We agreed on a price of $16,500 and I am stoked! If the vehicle is truly in mint condition, I think I'm getting a GREAT deal. Plus, it's 2 hours closer to me than the 2004. Planning on closing the deal on Saturday.
What do you guys think?

stormrider,
$23k for an '05 s2k w/ 16k miles is too damn much. Yes, I understand it comes with a hardtop, but still I wouldn't be willing to pay more than $20k, and that's a stretch imo.
Burgman,
From what I can tell, suzukas tend to be cheaper than any other color. When I was looking for an s2k, I could find a plethora of suzukas, and they were priced 1-2k cheaper than other colors.

I don't know.. it depends what you want. I a big fan of the gpw/tan combo, but the '07 sounds like the better "deal." If you go by blue book, the '07 is probably the better buy, but the '05 sounds nice. I would try and talk them down on the '05. If it's through a dealer, then I guess I understand the high price, but they should definitely come down some on the price.
This may not be exact but my impression is that for every model year you need to add $1000 to the retail. Thus at munimum, an '09 would be worth $4k more than an '05 of simular wear and tear. IMO, these two cars are essentially the same and unless you can get a better discount on a newer car ,any well kept AP2 should be the equivalent of any other AP2.
