hey all. i'm looking to purchase a stock S. i'm trying to get an idea of the market.

i want to find one with low mileage and unmodified. what do you think of this one?

http://www.hondaelcerrito.com/detail...d-8160071.html

thanks
It looks like its in perfect shape, but I wouldn't pay $19,000 for it. A couple days ago there was a thread that had an 00 with less than 10k miles on it for $19k. http://bringatrailer.com/2012/01/23/...honda-s2000-2/

I think around $17k would be a reasonable offer for the one your looking at.
i initially offered 17k through an email offer when they were asking 20k.... the dealer they said they would take 18k. guess if i can get it for 17k i will make the trip to norcal to see it.

thanks

I got a tax related question for you tax gurus in this forum..

I live in South Florida and once again, I'm in the market for an S2000. Currently, I have my eyes on an 2005 SS with 80k miles from a private owner.. my question is:

If I were to borrow the money from a bank to finance this car; is there a way I could avoid having to pay state tax when registering the vehicle at the local DMV? I've heard if the current owner were to issue the car as a gift to me, this could probably be done; the issue here is I'd be getting the money from a bank..

If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Depends on the condition

I paid 8300 for MY01 90,500 miles [needed a soft top, dents here and there, clean title]

10k is good... If it is in good condition. However, you can find them for less. What kind of condition is it in?

Greetings. New to the board and looking to buy an S2K. Help me decide between two cars:

-- 2006 Red 8,000 miles, $22K. 1.5 years remaining on power train warranty

-- Base 2009 Black 7,000 miles, $26K. 3.5 years remaining on power train warranty and 1.5 years remaining on bumper to bumper warranty

Both cars are pristine with original tires.

I prefer the red color of the 2006, but the also prefer the updates to the 2009, such as revised suspension, wheels, instrument panel. And of course the warranty.

Need to decide today.

Thanks.

I recently got my '00 with 58k for $12k. It had two adult owners (first owner sold it to his sister). Clean title, good original top, and clean paint/body for its age.

What's more important to you...$4000 and red color, or 2 years of warranty + a car that is 3 years newer?

Will either seller come down in price?
