the 07 is a drive out, shipped to my house price. The 05 will cost me addition 500 to ship to my house! I was this close from buying the 07 but than I saw this 05 with hard top and lip kit, I was like may be the 05 is better buy. I really need your advise!

The decision is yours. It depends on the condition of the cars, original owner, color preference, would you prefer having an '06+ w/ DBW/VSA? There are a lot of things and the decision is yours. Both are kinda high imo, but the '07 by BB is the better deal. I bought my '06 yellow w/ 15k miles on it a month or so ago for $18.9k. This was a private party sale, but figured I'd just give you of what I thought was a "fair" price. Before that, I looked at a certified preowned '05 silver for $18.8k w/ 25k miles from the local dealership. Maybe my sense of pricing is skewed, as this was late winter/early spring, and it seems like prices have risen a little..? $23k for a carmax '05 w/ a hardtop seems too damn high. $21k would be the most I'd wanna pay.

With the '06+ MY's you get DBW/VSA, and DRL. VSA is worth having imo, but not worth a significant premium, so having an '07 over an '05 has some advantages over just being 2 yrs newer..

i was gonna say to go with the 05 and offer 17-18k, but seeing how it's carmax i'd probably pass.

if people remember here i got a 04 with 21k miles for 15k a few weeks ago. loving the car =D. gonna polish and wax it very soon and then i'll post pictures. lol

 

04 w/ 21k for $15k?? That is a pretty darn smokin' deal. I doubt most people will come across those kinds of deals~

I got my 04 Rio w/ 67k for $11.5k which felt kind of like a stretch.

 

Ok, here's a little update. The 05 is Carmax, so price is firm and no nego, plus I have to pay for shipping to Tx. That will cost me more than 23500k plus I still need to pay tax! Now, the 07 is from a Honda dealer and at first we agree on 23000k shipped. But after posting here and got advises from you guys, now I offer them 22500k drive out. That means I will not pay any sales tax, any of the dealer fees, or shipping charge. If they accepted do you guys think that's a better deal for me? Remember this a gpw, and I really want a white one, of course I can get other colors for less. I notice gpw is asking more money due to the fact is a rare color?

Buy the one you like the most, stop worrying about which is the best deal! Fool around any longer and someone will make you decision for you by buying one of these cars!
Most people on here under values a car when asked what it is worth, but if they were selling that same car would ask more.
