Well blue book for the car is $10,700 in good condition private party.
So you are not getting a DEAL buying it for $11,000....But if you want to pay it go for it.

I'm looking at getting an s2000 and I could usethe advice of all you experts:

Option 1:
dealership says 1 owner, carfax says 2
$18.9k
2006 AP2 silver/black
28,424mi

Control arms are spotless (no rust at all), softtop in perfect condition

Option 2:
2 owner
2003 AP1 blue/blue
$13.9k
control arms are rusty (about what you would expect for a midwest dd car), softtop has some visible wear marks around joints (not terrible, surface of fabric is worn)

Thanks for your input guys.

How many miles on 2nd option? That price seems pretty high for an AP1.

Option 2 has 51,200 miles.

I have an Option 3:
2004 AP2 silver/black
$15.8k
34,021 miles
I haven't seen this one in person yet, though.

I don't understand why this is so complicated. Right now KBB pricing is lower than you'd expect and lower than what most sellers want to sell at. Use that as a barometer and wait for a seller that will sell at KBB. Done.

Ok hey guys whats up! New here hopefully youll can help me out with this s2k im thinking bout getting. Ok lets get to it, im a real big honda guy, always wanted an s2k, have a k20 civic em2, but i want the rear wheel drive! So heres what i need to know. Its a black 2003 s2k with 148,200 miles on the car! i know DAM!!!!! The exterior its a but ruff rock chips on bumper and hood, slight hole in rear bumper from someone backin in to it. I drove the car and it felt VERY VERY strong. Vtec made the ass break loose. Heres one thing, the clutch didnt engage till it was just about released, there was not ride in the clutch, if ya get me... also when i was driving it the oil pressure light came on, then went off. Then the engine started making a rattleing noise coming from the front top of the valve cover.. well it sounded like it was coming from there... there asking 8500.00... Would it be worth it or am i wasting my time? Lemme know and hit me back with any questions... Not in any rush to get it...

I would look for somthing will less miles. It sounds like there are some mechanical issues. Ask for service records, carfax, etc. If they dont check out then just pass. There are better S2000s out there but you might have to pay more. The way you describe the S sounds like the owner was careless and did not maintain it properly. Good luck with the search.

Not a very good deal considering you could be looking for a new engine and clutch any day, Then your still left with a dented up car.
