i dont think its that great of a deal to begin with, that on top of the possibility of the car sitting since 2012... i would look elsewhere

Sitting won't hurt it for a couple of years. By the looks of it, storage was in a garage anyway. Take it for a test drive and get an inspection. Looks very clean and I bet it will move fast if it checks out. At least from the photos, it looks like a fine example of Suzuka Blue.

First post, been lurking this forum for years. Apparently the guy didn't know this is a rebuilt title, as his title is listed as clean (and the person before him by what carfax says). He lives an hour away so I have not checked the car out in person. He said he was willing to work with "around 7k if you're serious" due to the dmg of the top, rear bumper, and it's salvage title history. If it helps at all S2000s in my area almost always go for around 10k plus on clean titles...

Lmk what you guys think, thanks

found this http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...38715332&Log=0 decided to call the dealer, he assured the car has mint and ready to go. We agreed on a price and a decided to make the trip down there, as soon as I get to the dealership I looked at the car and saw that the fenders were rolled (crap job), painted rotors (crap job), rust on the edges of the fenders, and the top has a tear (cover by tape) among other things. I mentioned that to him and after some back and forth he reluctantly agreed on a new lower priced but as soon as I go to sign the check and paperwork he adds some "mandatory fees" and some other BS. Over all, I wanted a car that I would enjoy but the price that they were asking and the job needed to bring the car up to OEM standard made it sort of something that would have left a bad taste in the mouth feeling.

definitely a good base for a "project car" but for somebody looking for a worry free car....nope.

Looking at a MY2002 Grand Prix White S2000 with all red interior
-2 previous owners according to CarFax
-65,xxx miles
-All stock
-OEM front lip
-Clean title
-Great condition
-Unfortunately, no documents for service history. The owner states the car is well maintained and CarFax report shows some service records.

Is $13,000 a fair price to pay for this car? This was the seller's final price after negotiation.

Thanks!

2001 Yellow AP1. Good condition, good leather, top, etc. Completely stock, 3 owners, clean carfaf, 91k miles, listed for $13900 offered him $12,500. Would 12.5k be a good deal?

What do you guys think about this s2000? How much would you pay for it? Everyone looks awesome besides the driver seat, look for it in the picture, you can see distress on it, like someone sat on it that was heavy?

Holy Jesus Mary and Joseph what the #$@ %&*! did that owner do to the seat in only 29k miles?

Some curbage on the wheel too. Brake mods and seat belt things - maybe has seen track time. Weird...I'd look closely at this one for signs of other mods, twinkies under the seat, cigarette ashes etc. It still will pull down decent money, but not $27.

You could deal with that seat by going with some Clazzio covers and their side bolster support.
