These ones are more in my budget, but their prices are a bit high anyway I think.

MY01 79k (I think this one is worth $13k or less, as I've seen similar ones in the recent past for $13k)

MY05 132k (this is much too high for 132k miles I think)

Opinions on value and prices for the above appreciated.
Go for the Granada Hills one or the Encinitas one.

Definitely don't do the Ventura one (red) or the one with the soft top ripped completely out. The Ventura one clearly has issues... like for one, where is the wing that used to be on those giant wing mounts and why isn't it there? And the one with the soft top gone... half (if not more!) of the joy of an S2000 is that it's a convertible. Do you want to get involved in having to replace whatever got hacked out? you would likely have to sell the hardtop just to afford to fix the softop situation. Leave that car to someone who doesn't want the convertible aspect.

Yeah, that wing and coilover situation looks suspicious. Probably tracked or driven like a maniac.

I'd shoot for $21k OTD. The trade-in value is $16k. $24k is way too much.

$21k would be fair and a good deal on your end.

But if the car is truly that clean (a legit 9.5) the owner may likely, and successfully, hold out for more. Someone will probably pay close to $24k, overpriced or not. Show up with cash!

It was at a dealership, now it's in my driveway. Too clean to pass up.

Congrats! I'm curious what you paid in the end (?) - but I have seen posts from many folks paying in the $24k range for similar S2000s lately. Nothing wrong with that IMO if you like the car. We are really not talking about that much money anyway for such a fine example.

How much do you think they're worth??

The Encinitas guy told me he could do $17.5. Which sounds a bit high for 75k miles with the usual dings and scratches.

And the black Grenada Hills said they got that price recommended to them by a Honda dealership and they seem strong on that price and believe it's really worth that much. Seems a bit high for being a really old MY and also ugly wheels and painted calipers. $19.5k sounds more like an 07 or 08 if I'm not mistaken. I saw a 70k and 60k Ap1, both stock, oem and mint adult owned, not too long ago for $13k.

That other white one seems a bit high too for 73k miles. I see he's a member here and has an ad on the for sale forums. Looks like a good car..but high price. He emailed me back and said even $16k is much lower than what he'd take.

Total was $24,500. The car was about 21,500, and the rest was tax, tag and title and 300 dealer fee. I'm super happy. 25k miles. I was tired of seeing the ones I wanted sell like the one that was posted on the forum in NC with the red/black interior a few days ago, so I made sure I didn't lose this one.

Awesome, that's great you got the car you wanted! Sometimes the difference of a couple thousand dollars means getting the car you really want versus settling for second tier cars. Enjoy, and post some photos in the Intro forum when you get a chance.
