Default Is this worth it?

2007 Laguna Blue with 34k miles and no mods except a head unit swap. Haven't checked for VINs or done a top to bottom yet, but is $24,990 too much? From pictures it's in beautiful shape. Seats look fantastic.

Is seems that in the six months since taking ownership of a 2005 S2000, I've already become out of touch with the prices for these cars (I believe this was pointed out in the thread you recently started). So I'll try to refrain from posting price-specific information here. But I would recommend that you take a close look at craigslist listings there in your local area to get an idea of what these cars are selling for. The general advice of finding the best example that you can (that fits your budget and meets your own personal criteria for maximum mileage/minimum service records/10 VIN Tags or No/etc.) would still seem to apply.

I bought my last S2000 a few years ago. It seems the market has gone up (or alteast for the clean ones). I am looking to get an 04-05 with around 35k miles with all 10 vins and overall excellent condition (as well as can be expected with a car with so many miles). I would have guessed that the price would be between 23-25K but it seems the asking price for ones that I can find is usually 27-29K. Dealers don't seem to want to come down less than 1k off that price.

What is a good price for such a car these days? (I am open to buying out of state).

I found one I like that meets the above description but it has a black interior. I have contemplated getting the car and then changing the door inserts, floor mats and seats to red but sounds like too much work.

Default 2007 Yellow 110k miles

Found this that I'm considering making an offer on:

(Link removed as it no longer worked)

It's a bit strange because the interior and seats are immaculate with a brand new top. Almost like it was a theft recovery, but it's being sold at a reputable honda dealer.

The front bumper is pitted NASTY like it's been on a track, though it could be just extreme road rash. The pics in the ad are deceptive, the entire bottom half of the bumper is shaded white from chips and pits and curb scratches. It drives nice but they put on junk Pirelli P0 tires. It's got a dent too, $200 of PDR.

1 owner car. Looks like the PO ran it into the ground, let it sit, then traded it in. It pulls strong and got a lot of maintenance but no records of the diff or tranny fluid EVER being done ever, which concerns me as I've found it's common in certain one owner cars.

I'm thinking $13k, thoughts?

The link disappeared at midnight. Forgot to mention the wheels are also curbed and oxidized. Here are pics.

Default 2007 S2000 37K miles

So a couple years back I sold my last S2000 for something more practical. Big mistake. Anyways, I've been snooping around for a 2nd S2000 for a while and found a really clean one, but it's a little over 300 miles away. I'm considering making the drive, but thought I'd seek advice from you guys first before I went the distance.

https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/inventorylisting/viewDetailsFilterViewInventoryListing.action?sourc eContext=carGurusHomePage_false_0&newSearchFromOve rviewPage=true&entitySelectingHelper.selectedEntit y=c3840&entitySelectingHelper.selectedEntity2=&zip =13601&distance=500&showNegotiable=true&modelChang ed=undefined&filtersModified=true#listing=17796150 3

For clarity: I've been looking for an S2000, 06-09 for tunability of the ECU. Preferably with under 40k miles. Thank you so much!

This is just from my personal experience of shopping for S2000.
For the 2007 yellow 113k miles there is no pic of the engine bay but if the car is not modded I think this will fetch $17-18k. The damage looks to be limited to cosmetics only that I can see and is in line for a car with 100k miles.
For the 2007 37k miles couldn't get the link to work but if not modded I would guess this would fetch $24k+. 2006 and beyond AP2s command a premium.

Default buying a s2000 2002 89k rebuilt title for 9k

Hey guys! I've been driving a miata for 2 years and I guess it is time to sell the car and get a s2000. I know buying a rebuilt title is a risk but the seller has insurance papers shows it was theft recovery. It is 2002 89k and he is selling it for 9k. All the Vins are in the right places but I think it is a bit expensive for rebuilt title. What do you guys think? sorry about my English, it is not my first language. Thank you for your time!

If all the paperwork is there with a complete history then I don't see an issue if it doesn't bother you.

I had looked at a theft recovered 2007 in NFR with only 40000KMS a couple years ago that had the paperwork to prove the history, also had a hardtop but the owner was stuck on his $23K(CND) asking price and wouldn't come down at all. Ended up with a 2006 GPW clean title for the same money.

Good luck in your decision.
