This is a very valid point that I neglected to consider. When I went to check the car out he showed me the new locations of everything and it all looks pretty professionally done, but if I were to try to wire anything up in the future it may be a PITA since I would have to trace wires back rather than just relying on location and color. I did test all electronics while I was at the car, the only things that don't work are the dash radio buttons, but he says that a site called modifry? sells a module to correct that.

I'm looking at purchasing this s2000, looks very clean and well maintained. I'm going to inspect it today. He is firm on the price, is it worth it?
14k aint bad. Does he have the stock suspension and other parts? I'd just make sure the paint all matches...from the look of the pics the front bumper looks different, but could just be lighting. Go check it out at least.
The paint all matched when I went to look at it, the lighting in the pictures is not the best. The car is absolutely stunning in person, I've never been a fan of red cars (probably because I have a heavy foot) but Honda did it right with the NFR. Most red Hondas I've seen are poorly maintained and look almost pink. He doesn't have the stock suspension, radiator, manifold, nor radio.

Way too much "history" for my taste

I am looking at s2000's right now. What is a good price for a 2006 Laguna blue with an OEM hardtop and 79k miles. Car is clean, never any accidents. All stock.

Thanks!

I offered 21k and he bit on that. However! I am not sure if that is too much. Thanks

First of all... all of that would have been just as effective, if not more effective, in one freaking post...

But, 21k (call it 18k without the OEM hard top), would depend on your area. That would be reasonable in my area so long as everything checked out.

However... I think the fact that the car has red/black seats in a LBP is a big red flag for me. I don't believe they offered that color combination which leads me to believe one of a couple of things: flood, theft, title status to go along with those, and anything else in and around those topics (other things stolen, other parts flooded, etc)

Based on a quite good price (if it was truly very clean and stock, it should go for a few grand more imo) and the seat issue, I suspect something fishy.

I emailed the guy why he has red seats and he said. They were an option from the dealer. I am not sure if you could get red seats OEM when buying the car new or not...

Also, I found a car near me that is a Rio 04 s2000. It has, 34k miles and is in good condition.

It has Megan coilovers, OEM wing, aftermarket lip, borla exhaust, enkei rims and a few other tasteful mods.

He said he would take 22k. Opinions?
