Official Is This Car Worth It Thread vol 3
As a general rule, aftermarket equip doesn't translate well to the seller, its a investment of love, not financial gain. So I would look at the s2ks worth as purely what it is based on condition, age and mileage without the modifications and based your price on that market value. Then and only then will you have a base to work from on what you yourself is willing to pay above that for the modification if you see value in them, which is in the eye of the beholder. Selling a stock s2k is a lot easier/more of a market, which the seller should understand. I never understood why someone would invest this level into a car and not keep it. They almost always will not get anything back out of their investment.
Opening up the motor to build it, probably makes me more nervous more then anything else done to the car because it almost always never last as long as a unopened oem engine , and for a meager 350whp was totally not necessary, so there was a lack of knowledge or judgment there, which may/may not translate into other aspects of the car. If you are not familiar with the mod list to a decent level, I would steer clear of it, no matter how well executed it may/may not have been done. Inevitably something will come up that will need to be dealt with/troubleshooting that you cant deal with on your own and require you much more expense to sort out because it will require a FI tuner/specialist to dive into the car and try and figure out/learn what the car has been done to it before they can effectively troubleshoot and find the problem. Your best bet (aside from you working on your own car) is to continue to take it to the guy that originally built it/tuned it, assuming they are and will still be around for the time you own the car.
In a nutshell, I'm saying that generally buying someone else's FI s2k is very risky/not ideal even in the best of circumstance. Your at a much better advantage if you have gone through the process of modding the car yourself so you know all the ins/outs of what's been done for future issues that will come up.

Hello guys,
I’ve been looking for a low mileage Honda S2000 for a while now, but they rarely appear on sale in my country, and even around Europe.
I have recently discovered a car with a supercharger setup and I would like your opinion if I should buy it and how much money is it worth.
2006 silver AP2
29.000 miles
354 hp from the 1997 cmc engine (European version)
Forged internals (pistons &rods)
950cc injectors
Rotrex compressor
Ecu AEM plug &play
Fuel pump
Tomei gas pressure regulator
4 piston brake kit
LSD 1.5 way
Exedy Hyper Single clutch
It also comes with a hardtop.
The car belongs to Honda dealership manager. He is the first owner, the built was done at a tuning shop. I talked to the guys there, they said the car is okay, everything running good.
My questions are:
Is this configuration reliable? I don’t know that much about it and I don’t really want any headaches.
How much is this car worth?
How much is the Rotrex compressor worth?
Thanks!

Any thoughts on this S2000?
I'm personally okay with the carbon fiber stuff. Just wanted opinions.

If you are not married to the idea of having a blue one, I would check craigslist and ebay, you might be able to find a better deal buying private party.
I am married to the blue color because it's my favorite. But you're right, there might be better options private party.
If you're dead set on getting laguna blue like I was then I'd try to talk them down a little and buy that one. But keep in mind if you were to sell it again it would be worth less because the trunk and hood will be missing their vin tags. Try checking out auto trader too. I found my 39k mile 06 on auto trader from a 70 year old couple for a crazy good deal. Also, keep in mind only 1800 laguna blues were ever made, and I've seen quite a few crashed ones being parted out so the nice ones that go up for sale sell really quickly!
06 white no accidents all matching vins, 177k miles, 2 owners, original clutch but it doesn't slip, reupholstered seats, new top, no major wear on the interior doesn't really show its mileage. 8200$. I will try to get some pictures of it.
Is this worth the price?

Overpriced. Negotiate hard if you're looking to buy it.
