Official Is This Car Worth It Thread vol 3
He sent me the recent carproof, it shows one accident claim from 2008 for $4400. When I asked the sales guy on the phone he did not know about it, said it could possibly be a front or rear bumper. Is 4400 considered too much? I will run a carfax later today to try and get more details on what happened. If carfax does not give me enough details I will probably have to call him back and ask for the previous owner's contact info to find out what happened.
Okay, I have another one, it's a 2006 model in Laguna Blue at a local Carmax
76k miles
2 owners
clean title
$20,988 plus fees
It's Carmax, so it's probably overpriced. So I guess I need you guys to tell me that's not worth it.... lol

Considering its winter, cars are usually cheaper during this time. i'd pay 21k for a lpb s2000 but it would have to be under 30k miles to be close to that price, so I would say its 45k miles to much for that price. keep looking for better deals.
You would have to be really patient to find a clean, stock 06 LBP under 30k miles for that price.
there was one for sale in Chattanooga tn with 41k miles, 2nd owner sold for 19.6k to a member on here. And here you go, 40k miles 24k probably flexible, looks clean, at least the similar price as carmax but 35k less miles. https://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/5931929460.html . I will find the guy who bought the lpb for 19.6 so you can message him about it if you would like
. patients is really the name of the game some people wait months or years to find the car they want, it may seem like an eternity but if its not what you really want you will never be happy with your purchase and will find some reason to sell it down the road. NFR-s2k- was the name of the guy that bought the lpb from chatt it had 39k miles and it sold for 19.6.

I'm looking at a 2003 Berlina Black S2000, 93k miles with 3 previous owners, it did have a front end collision back in 2004 price is $12000. Body and paint in great condition, top in good condition as well. Car is 2 hours away from me and I'm going to go look at it on Friday. What should I look for as far as checking out the frame for any damage? Much appreciated
Depending on your location I'd guess you could get an undamaged/fixed 2003 with the same mileage for the same price. These cars have no frame, of course, it's all one piece welded together with a few bolt on areas. Even in Ohio I don't have to drive 2 hours to look at several undamaged S2000s. Cars of this age normally need a full maintenance done after purchase just to make sure things are in order. Tires are frequently less than ideal and/or worn/mismatched. Add that to the purchase cost. Major changes made in 2004 to the chassis, wheels, engine, etc.
