do you have tracking plans?
sorry i really dont understand tracking plans?
well im #0110 and just over 400 miles now...
i wont post picks cause i moved my new rims from the eclipse over for snow shoes and they make me cringe when i look at them.
its estimate at 1400-1500 were to be made for each year... however does this include the starting production in 07 and 08? since i havent seen any 09s anywhere

rwheelz - you don't need a/c - just take off the roof Unless it's you're only car. Whereabout in Montana are you. A friend of mine lives in Billings.

nt7 - I think he means do you plan on taking your car to a race track? I highly recommend tracking and/or autocrossing. It's the s2000's natural habitat and where the CR in particular can really shine. I doubt they actually made 1500 as according to Honda's sales numbers, they are expected to sell less than 3000 S2000's in the US for 2008. I doubt they would make half of them CR's. First year of the CR is 08. There may be some 09's out there, but with automotive sales in general down, I doubt they're making many.

I am in Billings also. There are definitely no CR's for sale in this neck of the woods, and if there were they would be horrendously overpriced. I love my AP1 but want to upgrade soon and don't even have the ragtop in my car, so the CR seems like the obvious choice for me. I DO need A/C though, it gets really damn hot here in the summer and you'd bake in the sun with the roof off.

There are quiet a few canyon runs around here i am axious to take the CR into during the summer.
As for the track il have to see what my insurance says.
previous track experince is only in hi pwrd go-carts so i would have to get used to the harder upshifting/downshifting with the whole heel-toe rev matching.
Ive always owned a manual but ive never really raced them.

Insurance will most likely say no. Insurance doesn't like covering people learning how to drive their cars in a controlled environment - they will however insure inexperienced drivers who don't know how to handle their 500hp cars that end up wrapped around a tree.

Definitely try autocrossing though. The "club racer" should be raced with a club.

my biggest concern with tracking is brakes. as a noob, it appears the consensus is 1) you, 2) brake fluid, 3) slightly more aggressive pad (something at least carbotech ax6). the experienced seem to love the xp10/xp8 combo...as for fluid...i'm not quite sure what is good enough. it's obvious our car has been pretty maxed out of the factory besides the brakes.

ahh sounds good. having some slight more aggressive pads should also be key to a good day on the track too, yay or nay? cr + rain = awesome. you can actually see the wing work (water streaking on top of the wing).
