Thank you. I'm hoping everything gets moving soon. If it's totaled, I have a lead on another 07 with low miles, and its boosted with an Inline Pro kit. But I fear I might be too late now.

You may wanna consider changing your insurance company as well. You both have the same insurance company and yet you get put on hold this long? Someone was clearly sitting on their ass. I go thru USAA and was involved in a head-on collision last year in Europe. They had someone out to inspect my car within 1-2 days and I had a check by the following week. I would either change or file a complaint. And as always, good luck bro!

Yeah, everything's been going smoothly now. We like our company and have multiple houses and cars with them.

Update from Firday:
Car has been at the shop for a while getting looked over. Adjuster initially lowballed me at just over 5k in damages. Shop says there's frame damage and it will have to be pulled about an inch. Will be more than originally thought, but still not totaled. And yesterday, a tool truck backed into the front of my car in their lot, so it needs a new front bumper and some other bits on top of that. The shop's owner is dealing with the tool truck driver's insurance to cover that too. Now the whole car needs a fresh paint job. The owner offered to sign all the damage claim checks over to me and buy my car wrecked and fix it up himself. I've been given a few days to think it over. But with claim checks from front and rear damages, diminished value claim, and what he gives me on top, I think that might be the smartest thing to do in this situation. Just crossing my fingers that I can get the one I'm looking at on Monday.

Glad to hear things are finally moving, except about the car being backed into while in the lot!

Maybe it will work in your benefit, as long as you end up with enough cash in the end to either do a full restoration on the car, or buy another car of equal value (before your car got hit--then hit again), + money for taxes. $5,000 in damages is bs with frame damage when accounting for fixing frame+labor+ new parts+paint, but it's typical with insurance adjusters. My car's initial estimate was only enough to cover just over half the damages. Body shop's estimate was approaching twice that of insurance adjuster. The adjusters seem to forget that body shops are doing a business for a profit just like most any other business and have other expenses to account for.

I got rear ended at a similar speed by a lower vehicle just 6 weeks ago. Yours looks different in that your trunk lid and taillights are damaged. My repair bill came out to over $5k because the interior trunk panels all needed to be replaced/rebuilt, and doing so required removing the rear subframe and welding everything back together. I'd imagine you should be looking at a substantially higher bill.
