S2000 oil consumption
Well, if you use Mobil1 synthetic, you WILL consume more oil than with "dyno oil." Mobil 1 and other similar synthetics require closer tolerances within he engine than we have. As we don't have them, we'l burn some. I do not recommend using Mobil1 or any similar synthetic in and s2k --- and neither does Honda.
I've never had to add oil between 3.5K mile changes, in six years. But I use "dyno oil" as the dealer recommends.

Sorry to bogart this topic but pm me Lionheart. I am in Brussels now and Antwerp next week. I need to get some information on the local scene.
I bought my car with just under 32k miles on it. Not sure what kind of oil had been used before, but I put in Mobil 1 around 32,800 miles and I'm now at 36,200 or so. I've had to add around 1/2qt, but I attribute this to not putting in enough during the oil change since our cars call for slightly more than 5qt's when doing a change. After I added that 1/2qt at around 33.5k miles, my oil level has always been where its supposed to be, and thats with a bunch of autocrosses too.
