S2000 owners with OEM WHEELS, chime in...
I have 10,500 miles on my MY2002. I have one chip on my left rear wheel (inner spokes like your pic) where it looks like a rock got in there somehow during driving. Other than that, the other wheels are clean. My car is a daily driver.

Mine have pitted as well but I dont like the chances of getting a claim esp since Im out of warranty.

Us S2ker's in Australia and the UK get different rims.
Up until 2002 ours were painted a dull grey colour, after that we got the same rims as the US. i.e. Shiny machined finish.
I believe for unexplained reasons that the painted rims were more susceptible to corrosion than the machined finish ones.
Also the US spec and later Aus spec rims are a slightly different shape to the early Aus and UK rims.
