i run a VAFC, but i still need to get it tuned. if you're willing to pay the money, i'd go AEM EMS for complete customization.

A properly tuned AEM EMS is definately a good way to go. The VAFC won't change the timing that helps so much with FI. It also doesn't allow you to change injectors, loose the cat or whatever tickles your fancy.

Lets say a poor guy like me were to happen to come accross a supercharger. Would an E-Manage be a decent substitute if the EMS were too expensive?

Poor is relative I just wanted to run the SC safely and wasn't too keen on extracting max power. So an affordable, used, vafc v.1 fit my need. You can see my before/after vafc here: http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.p...threadid=191197.

If you want max power, search the forums for Sideway's threads.
