That dealer sounds like an idiot, so forget him... If you're in Bethesda, do yourself a favor and go take a drive up to Clarksville to Jim Coleman Honda where SuzukaS2k and andyp work. They're both S owners and are knowledgable (unlike this dealer you went to).
You can just as easily search the forums for answers to, but you probably want some salespeople that are knowledgable about the car at least, eh?
