OK, I have had enough of you saying no one gets it. We get it. We know what you are saying. We understand how the F20 made history, how it set the tone of the flavor of the S2k.

Now please, PLEASE stop blathering on how no one understands what you are saying. This forum is not a conspiracy against you and against the F20c...

It was an anomaly, sure. The numbers still run counter to your claim of a precipitous drop in 2004. The precipitous drop happened for the 2003 model which still had the F20C in it. You keep on keeping on.

Well, I didn't have that chart you posted in front of me when I made that post. I was going on the general knowledge of s2000 sales drop from articles I read through the years. Time will tell if my theory is right.

Honda is no Porsche, but DAMN I wish I had bought that used air cooled 911 years ago and kept it....... They ones people avoided used and now are coveted.....

If people truly "understood", then these threads wouldn't keep popping up over and over again. There would be a level of knowledge and deference to what Honda engineers accomplished with original design and none of the "WOW the AP2 is SOOOO MUCH this or that".

All I will say and end it is.. One of my favorite cars of all time is the original BMW E30 M3.... Everyone knows the subsequent M3s are "better" and faster and more advanced..... etc etc..... But there is NOTHING like the original..... The derivatives will NEVER be or recapture the groundbreaking nature of that car. Just sayin

Actually, the most coveted M3 is the E30 M3 Evo 3, which is a stroked 2.5L version of the 2.3L. In other words, the AP2 version of the E30.

You aren't on some higher level of intelligence (despite how highly you think of yourself), we understand exactly what you are saying. You speak like what you say is fact, like there's no to other way to it, like other opinions beside yours don't exist. No, not everyone believes what you believe about M3s either. I'll take an E46 over an E36 any day, because to me it was more "groundbreaking". Sure the E46 owes a lot to it's predecessors but the E46, especially the CSL, took the category to another level (to me). Some people will agree with me, some won't, and that's ok.

Against my better judgment I'll join this conversation despite the as hominems. One of the things lifting e30 m3 prices is the rarity. If a collector wants the driving experience or just to have for the garage, there aren't many around. It's Econ 101.
