i just did a motor swap in a MY05. does the same thing. completely normal.

my MY00 does not do this. who knows. enjoy the car

 

I've owned 2 s2k's and neither one of them ever did this. Although it might be be anything serious, i dont see how this can be normal. Everything should be the same across all s2000's.

 

my 04 does this as well. caught my attention once so i plugged in the OBD scanner i have and found nothing. my guess is its normal.

 

not necessarily. emission laws have changed over the 10 year lifespan of the s2k and certain diagnostics performed at key in could be very well different.

i had MY04 SRT-4 that did the same blinking thing. i really wouldn't worry about it.

 

No blinking on my 04. Turn key to ON, engine light comes on steady then goes out when START is pressed.
