Default Ap2 s2k Rough idle. Normal?

Hey guys so sold my ap1 s2k with 200k+ and upgraded to an 05 ap2 with only 60k. The day after i bought the car i noticed that it had a noticable shake and vibration at idle. Its idling at the normal 900rpm or so but it feels much more intense then the 01 ever did. You can visably see that the shift nob is shaking about 1 cm back and forth. Is this normal for theese cars. Car is very smooth through the rev range and its deffintly noy a leeky injecor and never feels like its about to stall. Its just alot differnt. Just curios if i should be alarmed or not.

thanks!

i have a 2004, same engine, not normal. you may try looking at the plugs to see if they are clean and in good shape. also valve adjustment. throttle body cleaning. just a few things to check out that will not cost an arm and leg.
if engine is smooth when driving and you have proper power then maybe it's not one of those things. even with the a/c on the engine does not shake, on a hot day.

My car [2006 51k miles] started to have a rough idle/running.
It was my front engine mounts.

Yesterday i went ahead and did the usual full service, all fluids, pads and plugs. Seems to be smoother but.still noticible rougher then other cars ive drivin. This weekend ill clean out the Idle control valveto see if that helps i found a good thread on that. If it does turn out to be engine mounts how much of a priority is it to replace them? Is it a absolute must asap?

I drove my car for a couple of months until it was very noticeable.

It did not start all at once, first my engine note sounded deeper from the inside, then slight vibrations that got worst over time.
When I got mine replaced they were pretty shot.

You were right i checked the motormounts and i could see where the bushing is busted on the drivers side, that orange fluid has spilled all out on it. The car will be gettting a new clutch sometime this summer so i will replqce them then.

thanks
