240ish is what I have heard before from these cars. I PM'ed someone about it once. They got all 235 +- 5psi or something.
it's not how high the number but how little the number varies that indicats a problem.
and make sure you do all 4 cylinder with the same number of crank, repeat the testing process at least 3-4 time just to get a constant result.
plus you always gets a slightly lower number on brand new car, the number is higher when it's break it. the number could even higher when you get carbon deposite in the piston, etc.

I just got my AP2 and as soon as I get a chance I'm going to do a compression test on it. I have a 1993 civic si (which I'm going to sell) with the original motor SOHC Vtec and it has 123k miles. I did the compressino testr on it and it read 210 respectively. One or two I don't remember exactly were 209(motor been raced plenty). Your motor is much newer than the 14 yr old motor w/ less miles and IMO I would take to the dealr if you still got warranty and try to get a new motor idk try it. If my motor throws low #'s I'm definitely going to the dealer.
LOL Idk how to QUOTE But N/A power thatnks for the tip I didn't think of that when I wrote that.
But also for example lets assume an s2000 should be well over 220 respectively. I know the variations between each cylinder is what you guide yourself on. But lets say you get 195 across the board. You got consistency but you have low numbers. I mean I would say somethings wrong....
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Also u cant compare my sohc to a f22 or f20 i understand and agree with you... but if for the sohc the highest is 220 (or a lil les) and im putting down 210 across then damn the motor is fine I would say..
But now you got the s2 with 195 or w/e then Im going to question myself on damn is this motor dying???? I dont know if im expressing myself right.....

I understand were you are going with that iluvs2ks. I am a bit nervous about my numbers and I will check again here VERY soon. The car is just sitting right now so I am not in a rush to do this. Also I am in the middle of adjusting the valves right now.
