The only time I had this problem was when I had some major radio waves interfering. When I was up near a radio tower near Angeles Crest, I could NOT get the remote to activate or deactivate the alarm. I would even hold it up to the alarm brain and nothing. I guess all the radio signals being emitted from the tower prevented the remote from working. It was trippy but I'm just throwing out a possibility of some form of radio frequency interference or something of the like.

Im pretty sure its the cold. Im up here in Canada and I can tell u right now that if i remote unlock my doors, they just wont open. Id bet the entire car, in fact...LOL.

Also, I dotn know if u guys get this also but when its cold, my two chirps to confirm that the alarm is on, only makes ONE chirp, sometimes no chirp at all! I have to look at the red light to see if its on or not!

Anyways, once it warms up, its fine again. im surprised you guys even THINK its cold over where u guys are! We get snow half the year! Although I only drive my car half the year...

Hey guys! I know this is 12 years later lol and probably none of you will see this, but when I just purchased my s2000 about a month ago, the remotes were not connected and WOULD NOT connect. All I had to do was pull the fuse out and put it back in. That's it..

However.. it only works for the alarm to turn it on and off.. the door locks are triggered and I can hear them move, but do not lock or unlock. It's definitely not the cold because I'm in Phoenix, Arizona where it 90-100 degrees.

I'm going to try to pull the fuse for the locks and see what happens, but I'll probably end up lubing the rods and such for the locks when I replace the factory speakers.
