The 04 steering rack has a different ratio, which would require a slightly different controller.

thank modifry
I am aware of that too. I had this problem before, after engine rebuild, and all it needed was a lap around the block but this time I've gone up to 230kph without much change

the 04 EPS on my car feels a lot better on my car then the 01 EPS did. Has anyone else tried this, or is it just me?

no PS is pretty fun on this car too.

Other than there being DTC stored, and having no power assist. No.

Say you needed to take evasive action behind the wheel and you couldn't steering fast enough to get you out of trouble. You wad up your car, blame the crappy sterring, everyone's insurance premium goes up and have a generally very bad day.

I'd just fix the steering.

I scanned the thread, I didn't see where anyone actually posted the specific EPS DTC unless I missed it. You can pull the EPS DTC with a paperclip, it's the same instructions under the ultimate check engine light thread. You can also reset the EPS light with a paperclip. I just wanted to throw that out. Good Luck.
