More TCT Analysis / Questions
Had you changed the oil in the beginning and now after 1000 miles its maybe breaking down (the oil) making noises louder?? At 70k miles i was already on my 2nd oem tct replacement and had noticed a fresh change of oil would keep the failing tct from letting it being known for a bit

EDIT: I didn’t make that clear, but I don’t think the oil is the problem as I changed it within these last 1000 miles

After excercising the shit out of the search bar I’m going to go ahead and clean my throttle body and pray it eliminates my whistle/whine. I can’t directly hear the harmonics from the intake due to the humming, but granted it’s only audible in the low rpms I’m suspiscuous of throttle angle causing it. Hopefully it’s that and not due to chain damage or the camwheel bushing

Doubting my theory of the throttle body butterfly valve. Throttle position doesn’t recreate, simply engine speed. Will happen in any gear or neutral clutch in or out moving or stationary. Noise is consistent in cold/warm conditions, and pitch of the whine is RPM dependent and it is NOT coming from any of the components off the drive belt nor is it a vacuum hose (smoke tested).
hmmmmm......

This video was recorded with the engine warmed up and held constant around 1500-2000RPM.
After some stethescoping I found it’s most audible around this 1.8-3k RPM range and I traced it to this area slightly above the oil drain bolt. It’s slightly audible when driving, let me know if anyone is familiar with this pitch or if I should be scared. Again, 70,000mi bone stock. OEM filter and Castrol Edge full synthetic 10W-30 I’m hoping this isn’t a rod bearing or something serious. I’m still new to this motor so for all I know it’s the nature of the beast and a regular noise.
EDIT: Thinking oil pump. Not sure of failure symptoms.

i don't hear anything abnormal, but i'm no expert.
my s2000 has a noisier clicking sound than yours that i'm also concerned about. but i have 215,000 miles, so it's not like i'm going to do anything about it. just going to drive it until it dies.
