you won't benifit much by just resetting your ECU.
In most cases it'll work when you add a new mod.
ex: intake/TB/headers/testpipe/exhaust.

If you want to gain more power by teaching your car new tricks you'd have to get an aftermarket ecu.

 

I just got my t1r exhausts installed and I might order aem v2 intake then restart the ecu.. I hope this works cause I want to feel some gain..
