I hate to bump such an old thread but this just happened to my top. I went out and bought some loctite adhesive but I'm not sure how to get the best hold. I tried gluing it with the top up so the strip lines up straight and there is tension on the top, but I'm not sure if it bonded well enough. Any tips on how to glue the strip back in place?

 

Oh god, reading this is scary seeing my top is due. Think I'm gonna patch. I found a patch in my secret compartment when I bought the car, any diy on best practices?
