That nest is going to need an addition. Maybe Texas Jim can handle that. He's got good taste in house construction.

 

The eaglets are hunkered down in the rain. Trying to get under the parent. Not working too well.

 

Lots of flapping wing action this morning. I think the bigger one may fly sooner rather than later! His wings are as wide as the whole nest! Amazing...going on seven weeks old. Two to three months they fledge. Here's the link again for those who are interested. I'm hooked.

I'm hooked too, MsP. I check on the little guys every day. They seem to be growing up before my eyes and change almost daily. Amazing!

 

We look almost daily as well.

 

Dem birds is really getting big. Read where eagles have a hole in the tongue so they don't choke when they are stuffing their face.

 

You are a font of information, Dave. Is that why so many young folk get their tongues pierced?

 

Big eaglet's feet are coming off the ground when s/he flaps his/her wings! Won't be long now...Fri s/he'll be two months old.

 

Both parents just got to the nest. One with breakfast.

 

The wingspan of the eaglet's in this short time just blows me away.
