checked in on the webcam this a.m. The babies have been alone for at least 20 mins. Hoped to see mama/and or daddy pop in, but need to go refill my bird feeders. They're growing soooo fast and their little heads are getting all white. They really have looooong necks.

They are being left alone for long periods of time. They don't seem as aggressive toward each other as before.

It only looks like they are alone. You can't see the eagle perched above the camera.

The little guy isn't getting any food- seems disinterested. I hope he's going to make it.

I'm concerned about him too, but he seems to be growing and getting stronger.

Neither eaglet got beak fed yesterday. I'll bet they start tearing up their own fish today. They have to be hungry.

Yeah, I've noticed they (or at least the big one) have been pecking at the food instead of waiting for it. Their wings are getting so big they don't seem to know what to do with them. They are off balance walking around the nest. And they pull at the nest like the parents do when they are rearranging it. The little one still pushes himself under the parent's body for protection.

Camera is off air right now. Hope it comes back on! Found out a bit of history. The eagles are named Ozzie and Harriet and have been nesting in this location for six years. The nest is 60' up in a pine tree. There are 133 eagle nests in a 25 square mile area! The nearest is a mile away. The infrared camera does not put out any light, so the eagles don't know it's there. The first egg hatched on Jan 1 and the second on Jan 3. I came in just after the first one hatched.
