Flooding and evacuations all around us. North Myrtle Beach really took a bad hit, several streets and highways are closed due to flooding in Myrtle Beach, a dam broke in Little River and folks had to be evacuated. There are ongoing evacuations in Georgetown (our county seat about 15 miles from me). There are street closing, etc. all around us. The worst of the rain supposedly will hit tomorrow, so we're keeping an eye on things. All the rivers are EXTREMELY high and the big creek that is near my house was almost to the top of the bridge yesterday, so I cannot imagine where it is this morning since it poured all night long and is still raining a hard, steady rain.

So far so good, MsP. I haven't moved to the second floor yet.

Charleston looks bad. A lot of the historic district has flooded. They do get floods down at The Battery along the river. So pretty there.

Yes we are, Levi. It keeps coming and coming. Seems that our little area is fairly safe at present. We're at high tide right now and all seems good. Others in the area are not as fortunate. Streets that normally flood in heavy rains are inundated and storm sewers cannot move the water fast enough. I'd love to see the sunshine. sigh.

Where is Lainey? Got your snorkel gear and flippers on?

You need to send some of that water to the left coast. We're going to have wind tonight, hope no fires start or we're in big trouble.

More rain today! Storms, wind, etc. and flash flood warnings. I'm just hoping we don't lose trees or power.
