Sent you an email. It is not pretty in a lot of areas. I'm hoping my trees stay in the ground.

Actually they are saying 24" has fallen in the Charleston area in the past three days. The Battery is not flooded right now, however. Georgetown and Myrtle Beach being hit hard from the rain moving north - 5' of water in Georgetown currently.

Our rain seems to have stopped for the most part. We will get sunny skies and 70s on Tues, finally.

Val, I just saw the Litchfield Inn sign on Route 17. The road is flooded there. I know it's closed in places.

You need to send some of that water to the left coast. We're going to have wind tonight, hope no fires start or we're in big trouble.
We lucked out! Not much rain at all. Sun was out today. Thanks for asking!

Yes, at high tide the northbound lane of 17 got a taste of the ocean. We drove down to the Inlet this afternoon just for a look-see. The water was high and there were some flooded side streets but it was not very bad. The bars and restaurants were doing a brisk business. Our area is wet but still not floating. Cannot say the same for much of the remainder of the state. Its pretty bad. Georgetown County to the south of us really got hammered as did Little River, North Myrtle Beach, parts of Myrtle Beach and Conway. We're pretty much stuck here for the next day or two until some highways open up. That's ok, I've got plenty of comfort food on hand.

Val,

Some of the things we're seeing on TV are pretty horrible. Stay safe and dry.

Still under flash flood watch and the rain is non-ending. Pouring down in buckets. Many people are inundated and there is unimaginable damage. MsP, I'm glad you'll see some sunshine today. I think we may get some tomorrow.

Just saw the official numbers on rainfall since Thursday. We've gotten 16.74 inches in Murrells Inlet. Wowser.
