watching the radar closely.
have a race condition going on.
snow line is advancing slowly north and UPS driver won't come down the driveway if it's snowing.

looks like the snow won the race.
We'll have to wait another day, Friday was a snow out as well.

visibility is really falling off.

Winter storm warning 6-10" of snow predicted. That total will vary for sure. I'm home safe and warm. Rick is still at work, as are my son and daughter in law.

I will not relax until they are home safely. I hate to use the word hate, but I HATE this weather, knowing my family has to be out in it. Son and daughter in law are scheduled to work until 4:50-5:00 ish. Hoping they get out sooner, but they could end up in the middle of a real mess on their way home. He has at least an hour commute which will turn into two hours at least. She has about 45 minutes which will probably double as well.

Hopefully the highways are relatively clear. Lots of schools and businesses were already closed for the day.

It's going to be in the high 80s here and then the low 80s all week. A/C in February?

This past weekend was nice. 45F and sunny periods. Would have been a perfect weekend to move my in-laws to their new apartment. Of course, they aren't ready and have chosen to move this Saturday. Weather prediction? High of 5 degrees and snow showers.

just got in from snow blowing for the second time in 3 days.
hard to believe that 5 days ago it was well above 60° and I was contemplating fertilizing the lawn.
instead we've gotten about a foot and a half of snow.

We've had the doors open all day, low 70s since Saturday. Did you see all the people at the Superbowl enjoying the warm weather? That's how it is in the Bay area.

Yep, you got the mess we had last time. So far, no snow here this morning. Not going to be much of an event in the immediate DC area. We are going to get some really cold weather, though, starting Thurs. Sat and Sun only a high of 24. Brrrr...

We dodged the last storm just caught the edge of it. We got about 2 inches of fluff overnight and are getting a little more off and on today.
