Jim, wasn't it just last spring you had lots of water in your area too?

Yep, I was out of town, Levi, and Chris had to walk over a mile in knee deep water to get home after work.

Wow, nasty stuff, there Jim.

We actually had a summer like day today. Temps over 70. I was off. Took the S and went out cruising. Even stopped to walk on the beach. Did not even need a jacket. Lovely!

You needed to install more lifts in the garage Jim, just to keep the cars dry.

Glad you can find humor in the situation. Have the waters receded? I guess Austin is no longer in a drought? They had one for like two or three years.

We are having warm, sunny days at the moment. High today will be 80.

That is a lot of water. I take it you don't have basements in Houston.

^ Jim can tell it better, but the foundation is kind of a floating one because of the high water table. No basement.

in Houston the multifloor highrises have basements. But they have water pumps that control the high ground water, and also keep the building on a balanced level. Homes in Houston more and more frequently gain space with a second floor instead of a basements.
