That is a good thing. Up here, we need basements to get below the frost line. With the amount of water I see in your pics, my basement would be flooded for sure.

Jim, been thinking of you guys. Hope the water levels are receding. Sad for all those people who were flooded out.

Thanks for the concerns, ya'll. The rain keeps coming. It's raining again today, but in our area the streets have been clear.

Jim & Chris,

Happy to learn that the water did NOT reach your house. Although, I feel bad for the others that were affected by the flooding.

Nice green grass. Do you water it often?

Sometimes I don't really need to water it.

[Actually it's a special St. Augustine hybrid called FloraTam from (developed by) U Florida/Texas A&M) in the 1970s. It's especially hardy and resistant to fungi, grubs, and other pests. And it is a darker shade of green! It is on an automated sprinkler system that is adjusted for different times of year and water conditions. And it was turned off during the heavy raining....]

Thanks for asking.

Yes, Matt, it has been very hard for many families. Some of our friends were flooded out. And several people lost their lives while trying to maneuver on deeply flooded streets and roads, especially at night. All were then discovered in their submerged vehicles. RIP
