Okay quit picking on me. The red cord appears to be connected to a black line that appears to be connected to something green that is hanging over the bus's right mirror. At least that's what it looks like from my angle. I thought maybe in white out conditions, you would be holding the green thing and could always find your way back to the bus. Well, maybe that's a stretch, but I was trying to figure it out.
Is that bus your new DD, Lainey?

Oh crap, I just looked again and now I see it's a jacket on a guy that is bending over shoveling. My bad.

Thanks, folks. It is cold. Not too many days with temps above freezing expected any time soon. A couple other storms brewing too. Hopefully, small ones.

Rick took care of all the snow removal for us and our neighbor. He's a good guy that Rick. I'm a princess but I did cook dinner tonight.

Baked haddock with diced tomatoes with garlic and basil (in the tomatoes). Baked potato and some broccoli.

Thank you for the photos, Lainey!! The bearcat carving is a good way to show the depth of snow. I looked at your forecast. Yikes! I like the one of your , especially.

You're welcome, Patricia. Yes, winter has arrived.

The day after is always harder.
after fighting with snowblower for 5 hours yesterday I feel used and abused, ridden hard and put away wet.
oh and you still have to go to work.

Glad everyone survived unscathed or maybe a little scathed. Saw Marshfield Mass on the news this morning the water broke through the seawall looks like an awful mess a bunch of the homes were condemmed and they are afraid that they are going to end up washed out to sea. Still windy here the drifts just keep coming I guess its a wash as two walks I take care of the snow blows right off them but another walk the snow blows right on it I came in this morning to find a five foot drift right in the middle of the "drift" walk.

Yes, Marshfield took a hit. Some cars were covered in ice, from the waves crashing. I'd say they will be a total loss. Nothing like frozen sea water on your vehicle.

Back to work today. Main roads passable, MANY in the city in which I work are still stuck at home as many of the side streets are not yet cleared. Driving ban was lifted at midnight, but folks are still being urged to stay home if possible. Schools are still closed, it is not yet determined if they will open tomorrow.

My route to work is by the main roads, and I do have a Jeep, so I had no issue. My previous Jeep had meatier tires so I felt a bit more confident if I hit a real messy area, but it's all good.

Snapped a couple pics of the side of my office. My view is slightly obstructed today. It's not the snow, it's the drifts!
