First snow on the ground this morning. Glad I cut the lawn and mulched the leaves for the last time yesterday.

Very cold and windy here, but after seeing most of the rest of the country, I don't feel so bad!

I don't know why, but 27F seems colder in Houston than in Colorado. That's September weather there.

Sun is out. It is warming up. 17 degrees with snow. My dog love's it and is bugging me to go for a walk.

Sheer ice on one of the roads to work this morning. Lots of tire tracks headed into the neighboring fields. At least one mailbox knocked over. Saw a set of tracks that looked like a car glanced off a telephone pole. Car in front of me did a 360. That was all in about a 3 mile stretch.

Houston has higher humidity than most of Colorado. Higher humidity with its dampness causes some liquid water to form on our skin or in our clothing; the water conducts heat away from our bodies far better than a dry contact.

The +1 will be running the Annapolis Half Marathon on Sat in rather chilly weather. High that day will be low 40s, but at race time about 30. Not a problem for him. Runners like cooler weather. High on Sun will be 55.
