I stayed off statins for 2 more months then changed to Lipitor.

The problem did not return.

I am now off Lipitor due to a lower chol. level.

I'm not an MD but if your dr. agrees to let you stop for a little while, you will find out if it is the Zocor.
I have just recently started Zocor, changing from Lipitor.

Doc said Zocor worked as well, cost less and didn't have any side effects like joint pain. I told him I didn't have joint pains and he said I was lucky since I'd been taking Lipitor for quite a while.

I was concerned that it might be blood clots due to location and swelling, but I haven't been to the doc yet. I've gone off Zocor and will be going for scheduled check up in a couple of weeks.

I'd like to try the more sex thing!

For decades everytime my wife has a pain, gets sick, is sleepy, tired, run down or whatever I've told her is was because of not getting enough sex. She didn't believe me, now I've got proof. It's right here in writing on the internet. That makes it true, doesn't it? Oh pretty please make it true.

BTW,

It is much cheaper at the Warehouse clubs like Sams.
Walgreens Drug stores have been doing a two for one for past few months. I'm paying $20 for 180 pills. How does that compare with Sams.

Hope your doctor figures out how to fix your achy joints. Mine came from statins.

I also had the intermittent sore jaw. It would feel like a stiff joint and swell up in front of the left ear. My dentist fixed it. I had a saliva duct that was plugged up - sometimes. The dentist ran a probe up in it and said that it had more of a bend than normal. He told me to get some tart candies(Warheads,Sweet Tarts, etc.) and suck on them to stimulate the saliva flow.

HEAL!!!

I buy Triple Flex at Costco. Still around $22 but I'm sure that's a good price if I compare it to other stores.

Wow! That's an unusual fix. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I often wonder if my sinus problems contribute to other things. My brother broke my nose when I was 16 and it was too late to fix it without rebreaking it, when the doctor finally saw it. My doctor told me I'd always have problems because of it. It's true. The right side of my sinuses are always congested and irritated.

Maybe we should move this discussion out on the front porch and bring rocking chairs.

I just went to Costco.com to see how much Triple Flex is and found out it's on sale until June 15th. Yes, you have to be a member and pay tax and shipping but it still comes out to a decent price since they are wacking off $8 per bottle. This is what I found online...

I know. This is the kind of thread that makes the young'ns point and laugh at Vintage. They will be here someday too. If they're lucky enough to live this long.
