Halfords = 69.99
Honda 63.00
Tegiwa = 45.00 +10.00 but the fitting looks like it could be different (smaller?)

I wanted to put in today as the last thing I want is to be stranded again, so got the Honda one.

I am sure I could have got it a little lower in price but life is too short.

thanks everyone for your input.

note to self: investigate how you get a trade Halfords card.
Tegiwa is for JDM cars, not UK cars.

If you can't afford £63 for a battery that will probably last 5+ years or £1 per month, then you've bought the wrong car.
A bit rude, but I guess I can live with your comment.

Of course I can afford 63 quid but just because you pay more doesn't mean you get more. In my experience a main dealer gets away with charging high prices because people believe they are getting something better than normal. This is often not true and should be challenged eg the quality of their servicing c/f the price. In this case, however, I think it is a reasonable deal which is why I didn't go elsewhere. I did buy a battery from Honda before that never made the warranty date. After all, It is only a Varta battery and not that special.

^^^^ mmmm debatable that is mate
Not really...I've read about, and know plenty of owners who haven't had the best experience with non-OEM batteries over the years. There will be some cases that prove the opposite too however.

You pays your money and takes your chance...
Well we'll have to agree to disagree, in my time of 6 years at the big old Halfords, sold hundreds and fitted them, I could count a handful of GENUINE faulty battery's, dead cells and that, the majority of the ones supposedly faulty, were down to user abuse, faulty alternator regulator, external draw, undercharging, overcharging etc etc...

Type 048 Varta Asia Car Battery 12V 45Ah (Short Code: B32) (Varta DIN: 545 156 033) £56 including delivery when I bought mine earlier in the year. My Honda Battery (Yuasa I think it was) leaked its content and corroded the battery tray Varts or Bosch in my cars (Bosch doesn't appear to have the correct size for S2000)

Just picked a new battery up from the main dealer at £59 after knocking them down from £68.
I could have got a haffords one for £52 with a trade card, but decided oem was probably best.

Ha Ha, sounds exactly like one of my comments, and of course true!
