Do Dixcel to two piece discs for the S?
Why is everyone getting so obsessed with two piece discs all of a sudden anyway :suprised: , you don't need them the dixcels will be good enough

Don't forget to get brake fluid, Mark.

I think 65mm, but will measure it later this week

Ok my brake dilemma is resolved after a lot of thinking and head scratching...

I went with Dixcel stuff and should be here later this week. The full set was well under half the price of a front big brake conversion. The thing that swung it was that most of the guys doing racing aren't using BBKs. And if they don't, I certainly don't I can awlays change my mind later too.

FCR SD front
FCR Plain disk rear
R01 Race pad front
R01 race pad rear
Same choice as I

Advised by Dixon at DMS, when after reading R01 pads are not suited to slotted discs.

The slots on the front discs should be facing backwards with the R01 pads, as the friction coefficient becomes too great with them facing forward.

From Dixcel website

http://www.dixcel.co.jp/en/pad_r01.html

I rang and spoke to Dixon and that is what he advised me on previous post.

I'm still confused. Is the combination ok in his opinion? I'm sure it is, as that's waht he advised me to go for.

Dixon said they'll be fine. I'm doing Cadwell in March, I can see how they behave then.

What would happen if the friction coefficient does become too great? Would the brakes grab, causing the ABS to work overtime?
Stopping distance increase?
