Feel free to drift around a bolt head with a pin-punch.
It's bolted to a nice expensive alloy bonnet.
Im sure you'll never see the warped panel one you planish it all out and repaint.

No; it's mounted on the slam panel, near the radiator. Great place to slip with a centre punch, and percussion against pressed steel is one way of shaping it! So you're not far wrong...
Hence why truing up the head is a safer place to start.

Well, PaulF is going to have a go at it with the proper bolt removal tools tonight.
Sti_Vi has put a replacement bolt in the post to me, and also advised that there are some similar (non- crucial) bolts in the engine bay, so we can use one of those as a temporary replacement.
This place is great, thanks to all for the help and advice

Update: It's all fixed
Firstly, the bonnet opened, which was a big relief, and then Paul used his "special tool" to remove the rounded bolt, which we replaced with one of those holding my brake master cylinder in place.
The best way to replace the latch is to do the bolts up most of the way, so the latch is still free to move a little, then close the bonnet, making the latch sit in the correct place. then open the bonnet and tighten the bolts.
Will replace the master cylinder brace bolt with one Sti_Vi has sent and all fixed.
Big thanks to all
Next is the TCT...
