Hi Im planning to pick up 18X8.5 +50 all around wheels from a local guy.

Im planning 225/40/18 in the front and 255/35/18 in rear.

Ride height is stock right now but getting ready to drop a little w/ Swift Spec-R. (1.25')

Would this set up be okay from rubbing? Im not into autox or track.

Thanks,

Jun

anyone ever hear of XXR rims? I just bought a staggered set with offsets at 48. 17x7/215/45/17 and 17x8.5/245/40/17 Just wondering if these will rub if i put eibach 1" drops on my 2001 ap1? Car is in the shop for front lip, rear spoiler, and new paint job. I'll post pics later. Please if anyone can let me know if the 1" drop will cause my car to rub

These are the rims.

Hey fellaz, thinking of buying a set of wheels which were apparently off another s2000...I've read the guide and think i understand which leads me to this question. The wheels are: 17inch X 8 +45 (front) & 17inch X 9 +63...which leads me 2 believe that the front wouldnt work and the rears could fit a 275? HOoever the guy selling says he had 255 on the rear (which is fine) but a 225 on the front (which according to the guide would not work). Wheels are a Buddy Club racing wheel. He says they fitted without rubbing and without having to roll guards....i can't work this out.

What would be needed to fit 17x8 +38 rear and 17x7.5 +32 front?

I've been saving up for the BBS LM's for a long time, now that I'm ready to purchase soon, I'm frantically hunting for the perfect offset/size combination for my setup...
I found a photoshoot done a little over two years ago by alexisthemovie. (link)
The AP2 in this shoot is nearly identical in suspension height as mine and has the exact look I'm going for!
Any chance someone happens to know who the owner of this sexy beast is?
Or suggestions on size/offset for front & rear 18" to not rub without fender modification - ideally with 215 or 225 & 255 tires.
If I can't find good specs, I'll end up getting 10 & 25 mm spacers for my powder coated AP2's and put the money elsewhere...

Any help would be much appreciated!

well judging by the " what fits" section no wheels that i looked at would fit my car... i went to numerous websites, they say it fits and here it says they dont... somebody is wrong either this or the websites... frankly im getting tired of looking at offsets and rims and everyone telling me different wether they would fit or not...
