The AP2 in this shoot is nearly identical in suspension height as mine and has the exact look I'm going for!
Any chance someone happens to know who the owner of this sexy beast is?
Or suggestions on size/offset for front & rear 18" to not rub without fender modification - ideally with 215 or 225 & 255 tires.
If I can't find good specs, I'll end up getting 10 & 25 mm spacers for my powder coated AP2's and put the money elsewhere...

Any help would be much appreciated!

I know you posted this back in january, but for future reference, I am running an 18x8 +40 18x9.5 +55 (225/255) work meister s1's and they fit perfectly with no fender modification. Any wider, or lower offset, and you would definitely have to roll the rear and you would at least rub up front. I'm slightly lower than the s2000 in the photo, but regardless.

Looking at a set of TSW Nurburgring for my06 stock.

17x8+35
17x9+63

Would those sizes fit with the standard 215/245 tires??

I've got Rota Torques in 17x7.5 +45 front and 17x8 +48 rear with stock 215f/245r tire sizes -- they fit fine right now (all stock suspension) but I was looking at getting Swift Spec-R springs (appx. 1.25" drop all around). I'm wondering if this will cause rubbing issues. As it is now, I don't rub except on extreme turns where I can hear just a slight rub--this might happen once a month or something--so I'm guessing I might have to make some adjustments. Hoping I can get away with just some extra negative camber. Any thoughts/experience with this rim size would be appreciated!

What offset would be good front and back on an 18" wheel where I want to run 235 up front and 265 in the back? I'm not lowered or anything yet, but plan to get coilovers possibly down the line.

Is there a thread dedicated to listing all the rims (makes/models) that comes in proper s2000 offsets? If some can someone direct me to that thread? It seems like most of the wheels I like don't fit

on the front I would go with a 8.5 or 9 inch width with a plus 45 to plus 60, +35 if depending if you're willing to do fender roll/pull and run some negative camber. the rear i'd do 9 or 9.5, maybe 10 if you can find a +67 or +70. i have 9 inch wide with plus 35 all the way around with 245 up front and 265s out back. i rubbed the front pretty bad, i've raised the height since then on buddy club N+ coilovers but i haven't done any alignment work yet. i'd research what model wheel, then go look at all the widths and offsets in your range and find the face you like the best wether it big lip, concave, or flat faced.

i don't know of one but its a good idea to check out sights that have s2000 wheel options (like evasivemotorsports) and look at the volks and other wheels that they have that are "s2000 fitment".

Starting to window shop for wheels and I just want to make sure I'm right on my math/terminology, so if someone could confirm that would be awesome.
1. Offset = Distance from wheel center line -> bolt mounting surface. (+ or - number)
2. Backspacing = Distance from inner wheel lip -> bolt mounting surface. (+ number only)
If those two terms are correct, then the numbers I have below should have the same backspacing, and would be equivalent to adding an extra 1.5" lip to the outside of a stock wheel. Correct?

Stock Front: 16" x 6.5" +55mm offset == (6.5 x 25.4)/2 + 55 = 137.55mm backspacing
New size: xx" x 8.0" +36mm offset == (8 x 25.4)/2 +36 = 137.60mm backspacing
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stock Rear: 16" x 7.5" +65mm offset == (7.5 x 25.4)/2 + 65 = 160.25mm backspacing
New size: xx" x 9.0" +46mm offset == (9 x 25.4)/2 + 46 = 160.30mm backspacing

If all that is right, my only other question is how much more backspacing can be had on front/rear before running into problems on the inside of the wheel/tire?

It's about that time to get new tires so I'd figure I would get a tire+rim combo.

I couldn't read through this whole post and when I attempted to, it was just confusing with so many inputs.

Can someone tell me a size for my specs?

I am ap2 05. I would like to keep it at 17 inch and have the wheels sit flush or slightly extending the fender a bit with out spacers.

I'm lowered in the front with drop springs, my back are stock. There is a plan to get coilovers in the future but not immediate.

I am in love with the rpf1's since they are a great price.

so to conclude, I would want the rpf1's in 17 and flush with the fender, possible even sticking out a bit while adding the deep dish look.

Thanks to any advice!

New s2k owner & never replaced these tires yet. (Strictly daily driven, AP1 rims & buddy N+ coils w/ a 1 finger gap all around)

Is this the correct tire sizes? 225/50/16(Fronts),245/45/16 (Rears)
