We own both a S2K and G35C (my wife owns the G35). I think many of the comments above are right on. The G35 is far more practical, with 4 seats, and a respectable trunk. The G35 is quieter and more pleasant to drive on long trips. If you get into an accident, the G is something like 600 lbs heavier -- and the extra mass certainly equates to better safety. Both cars are beautiful to look at, but I think the G35 will have slightly better visual appeal to the mass market.

The S2K has slightly better performance (tiny edge in horsepower-to-weight), and wins out in shear driving excitement. Lighter cars are almost always more fun to drive.

I really think a very young person is better off with the G35.

My g/f has a G35. Really nice cars and would definately be nice for someone wanting a daily driver with some excitement to it. The car is nice overall and they look amazing with 18 or 19 inch wheels mostly due to their good offsets. Lip owns me. The car feels big but this is coming from a guy in an S.

I think you need to learn how to drive the S. This car is by no means difficult to handle if you have two things:

1. common sense. If you floor it at the high end of a gear going through a turn in the rain, your going to kick out. If you are driving in a situation where the traction is compromised, takes turns easy. Drive conservatively in all other conditions until you know your car.

2. Know your limits. Do not try to fly through turns if you are not familar with the car. Take it to an autocross or an empty parking lot and play around.

I have driven my car in every condition except for snow and I have not had any problems. Just make sure you keep your tires good and drive in your limits.

I think you would be happier with the S in the long run if space and creature comforts are not a must.

both cars are great in their own respects. S2K is just a balls to the wall, pure fun sports car, where the G35 is more luxury/refined. if you do decide to go with the G35, get the new '05's...300HP and a few other changes over previous years. don't forget though, a new G35 coupe will prob set you back $35K+ where a used S2K you can get for $20K+ a lot of factors to decide...after your test drive of the G you should know
