My subjective opinion that is that it is most definitely a girly car. It belongs in the same bracket as a Nissan Micra and Fiat 500. I'd love to hear the contra view. I expect it will come from some man bag carrying, bearded hipster who goes to the gym four times a week.

I do own a man bag.
I currently have a goaty.
does 2 out of the 3 count ?

It does look much better in the flesh. I suspect colour may come into it in terms of respectability on the street though. I wouldn't have a problem driving it but that might have something to do with the fact that I'm at an age where I'm not concerned what anyone else thinks.

it is a bit feminine styling i agree but i am after a family runabout. i have a hipster bike but only 3 times to the gym per week and no facial hair beyond about 3 days growth

maybe pure black suits EvilGad?

from my perspective the bar is set pretty low for the family car. I tried the M3 and it never gets used as 'the ride is too harsh' and 'the seats are not comfy'

so i want something which is
future proof (why spend a load of money on a diesel?)
cheap to run
not horrific to drive (the shitsan kumqwat is)
decent go 0-40
wont struggle up hills
climate
rear wheel drive is +
easy to park in the city is a +

for reference it replaces the M3 and this POS
Shitsan Kumkwat +2 1.6
Power 115 bhp
Top Speed113 mph
0-60 mph 11.5 secs (fake news)
Torque 158 Nm, 117 ft-lb (i tested this on torque and it said it couldnt pull the skin off a rice pudding)
Weight c1400kg (i do not believe this stat at all.. the internet lies, this car weighs 4 metric tonnes minimum)

so currently it's between these 3....

used Tesla S / X
Leaf
Honda e

and my thinking is currently

why spend 50k on a tesla for a longer range i dont need 99% of the time and a bigger car i dont need 95% of the time?
why buy a nissan when the kumkwat is so shit?

I know it's not to everyone's taste, but the BMW i3 ticks a lot of your boxes.

I know a couple of people who own the i3 - both love them although I haven't had a ride/drive as yet

I'll be surprised if the Honda is anything special to drive

It will be Jazz like not NSX like

Fair enough. Have a look at EVEZY - sort a leasing/rental service for EVs, I think you can chop and change pretty easily so you could do some sort of extended test of a few and see how you get on.

https://www.evezy.co.uk/our-vehicles...SAAEgIQEPD_BwE

The i3 they have has 19" wheels.

tah LG

19 still seems ludicrous to me. my M3 has 19s. its a big car with a lot of grunt and 18s were std though few cars had em..

i dont get that angle
