Honda e
Congratulations! I can understand the temptation...
I don't generally find Cashandcarries as badly-driven as the big, pompous Slits' Unwieldy Vessels, but generally disdain all of them.
If the Esaregood is as wieldy as it ought to be (Mini in the '60s?), I can foresee it as being an apt counterpoint to such irritating devices.

slower than a Tesla, as heavy as a Tesla and obselete the day you take it home
they dont even sound nice
while i appreciate you were poking with the comment here's a quick view
Tesla Model X vs Porsche Macan Turbo
£82k vs £68k (both expensive thanks to a collapse in sterling, how'd that happen i wonder?)
0-60 4.4s vs 4.3-4.5s
value in 3 years £60k vs £40k
Road tax £0 vs
MPG 200 vs 31
but then why would anyone spend that sort of cash on a compromised family car to rumble around a city which is all ours does 99pc of the time.
The X is too big for UK roads and a family of 3, the porsche too antiquated. The 3 came into the equation and remains possible but it would be purely based on more practicality for that 1pc of the time which feels overkill. it's bloody ugly and tesla dont have a great rep and are not really into the UK market in any depth... a white one might do
I am currently thinking wait and try the Honda.. apparently in dealers next year.. there are something like 10k deposits down on it but i'm in no rush
qashqais are trully awful things Nick.. budget motoring i suppose, seemingly very reliable but terrible ride, clunky suspension, inert handling, horrid engine and ergonomics. a lot of kit for not much £ though.
a peasant range rover without the breakdown events
.. it could put you off driving and make you spend £5k on a self driving tesla quite readily.
I don't know anyone (apart from you) who would choose a Tesla X over a Macan S especially at that price differential.
You are infected with pre-purchase justification.
Seek urgent help!
(I actually hope you do buy a Honda E and post some pics of you driving it. I think the look you want is those short trousers with loafers and no socks)

The Tesla is very cool inside, you should check one out..,
seats 7
can drive itself in theory
has gullwing doors
and does 200mpg
if i didnt care about cash i would buy one but i look and think 80k can earn me about 5-6k a year invested and i would rather do that.. if i want to enjoy a drive i take my hipster bike
.. the roads here are choked and plastered with speed camerasfor now i’ll revert to the old Hondas
electric is the future for your base trundle needs
Had a poke around one recently.
The guy driving it didn't own it. It was a courtesy car whilst his was in for it's two weekly visit to the dealers to have another fault repaired
The gull wing doors look cool but I'd love to see the gymnastics of someone getting out of the back in a multistorey or similar. They are seriously high up
Shut lines were ridiculous. I know-I know who cares about shut lines but since they should be consistent to make the rest of the stuff fit it doesn't bode well.
Still it did look cool and performance was mental

A model X I saw had the rear doors thrown on like a 1976 Rover SD1.
I'd rather buy an EV from an experienced car manufacturer with proper large-scale body presses and not welded out of little bits like a 1950s product, thanks.
