What im about to say may be shocking to some because it was to me, Ben and Dickson over at AJ-R, Mike at evasive, and John at Inline....i actually lost 3whp and 2ft/lb of torque with my J's header. I made no power anywhere across the board. No peak, nothing under the curve, nada. i've sold the header the day after the dyno and tune and truthfully i think it was just my car so the person who bought it will probebly have much better luck. My car originally had 216whp, after the header it shot down to 212 and after tuning i was able to hit 215. The stock header was put back on at inline and dyno tuned again for free and w/ the stock header i made 215.5 whp. Confused? I was too, but now its time for BOOOST. But really, i just dont know what happened

That is weird...

When I installed mine there was definitely a noticeable difference.

If anyone is interested in it let me know, I need to fund my nitrous project

weird...I wonder if you have other issues causing you to loose power...like perhaps since more air was able to flow, and maybe you have dirty spots in your cylinders and your getting pre-ignition causing a loss in power. Reason the head may effect this is because more air = more power = more heat...the problem being that the heat is becoming an issue in your case?

I'd really like to find out why and how you lost power with that header...very interesting.

How could you check if you had dirty spots in the cylinders? And is it fixable? I dont know, i think it was just my car. Truthfully the staff over at inline say the header is junk. He mesured all the primaries, secondaries and it all came out to what J's had said but right before the collector it basically shrinks down. Look at your OEM header and compare it. Look at the runners all the way down to the collector and it is all the same size piping all the way down, but the J's header starts off with big primaries but as it goes down towards the collector it gets smaller in diameter and then opens up to a big 65mm collector. If you ever get a chance ask inline to show a picture of their Merge collector on their K20 race header that makes 30whp on header alone. It is a amazing and beautiful piece. They are in the works when they have time to build a header for the F20C. But yeah call them ask them to send you a pic or something. I really believe that is how a header should be built. The collector comes down to what looks like a four barrel shot gun and then you look inside it is so smooth inside, it doesnt restrict any before the collector.

^ How did you come up with the number 260bhp? Where did you dyno at?
I dyno'd at Church...made 235whp and I think 161tq there. So, talking to church he said its probably about 220whp on a dynojet, and so at about 20whp over stock that = 260bhp

An indirect way of checking would be looking at the condition of the spark plugs. Or you could also try looking in the cylinder with the spark plug out for carbon build up. To clean it...I've heard many people have good luck with MCCC; Mopar Combustion Chamber Cleaner. I've never used it myself...but if you are having a problem like this...this stuff would probably clean everything up and help you out?

That cool. I dyno'd 246rwhp on Shawn's dynapack and 225rwhp on AutoWave's dyno dynamics. Shawn's dynapack reads about 10% higher than a dynojet.
Ya...I've worried/wondered what I really would dyno. Accurately. Realistically. I knew/know I'm not making 235 hp at the wheels. And then I worry and wonder if I'm making 220 like Shawn said.

Although...260bhp is acutally only 218whp...240*.84 (16% loss) = 201whp, 260*.84 = 218whp

Either way...I will be getting the car re-dyno tuned somewhere else on a dynojet/dyno dynamics dyno to see what kind of peak numbers and WOT tuning they could do.
