I wouldn't consider that insane, no
Nitrous is fun, my bud has it on his 96 ram SS/T 360...he's running a 125 shot. He had it down to a 12.3 in the 1/4 before he blew it to smithereens...now he's got an all forged bottom end 13.1 compression...it'll be interesting to see what it'll do now
A 75 shot on these cars would be insane...traction would be a very serious issue...

Well I figure traction shouldn't be that much different from a turbo setup, right? I mean, it's actually very similar to a turbo in terms of feeling and what's actually happening. Power output is going to be less than a turbo however, so my *guess* would that it wouldn't be that bad? I am running 255 Azenis rubber on my 9" wide rear wheels.
There is all this buzz about nitrous being unsafe and I think it's because people use it extravagantly in motors that shouldn't be seeing that much boost
If done conservatively, used conservatively, I don't think it should be a problem. I mean, it's just a big influx of air... the same thing that a turbo would be doing only a smaller amount.
I'm goign to have my valves/cams inspected beforehand. I did have a slight overrev a year ago. I had my valves adjusted 2 months ago and the guy didn't say he saw anything, but I'll have him do a thorough inspection.

Ehh...I've considered nitrous. But to me, it kinda sucks. I mean its only there when you spray, but when you run out your out until you refill. I just like always having the power there and not having to worry about that because I'm using it I'm going to have to refill soon.
Though, I totaly agree that it can be done safely when used and tuned correctly.

It's just that... I can have comparable power to FI setups for a grand, and still have the "great" gas mileage and use it when I want. I guess it's good and bad for different reasons.
Still, I'm pretty excited about it
I'll definately tune with my current setup to see if I hit that 230 mark first, then I'll go with the spray.
