yeh EVO X, next gen STI 08 or 07 m3 at the end of next or fall when the first two come out. The SC s2000 is still the funnest car I've had to date so a year and 2 months more to enjoy it should be fun. Can't wait next year will be a good year for cars

Yeh EVO IX is stilla pretty cool car, if EVO X wasnt going to come out I woulve thought more about it..........

Nope I get daily PMs on the Neo asking if its still for sale and people who say they will paypal me but suprisingly no one has given me anything yet.........Kind of weird...but eyh its still for sale.

thats what I hear, EVO IX are loweirng in price now for the RS and GSR model. Our state is crazy though, trying to sell EVO MRs for $45k.......ha......ha........ I'd go south coast if I were to buy an EVO unless JDM hooked me up

EVOs are much nicer that STIs. Concerning an EVO IX versus X, I don't know for a fact but I doubt there will be much difference. You should be able to get a great deal on an IX, because if a dealer has any left they'll want to make room for the Xs.
The differences between IX and X are going to be pretty damn big...not so much in HP, but the components like the Limited Slip, AYC, ABS are all much more advanced.

i local speed shop the i am "sponsored" by is making me a custome 70mm headerback exhaust. i just had to pick out what muffler i wanted for it. after much research(you know me) i settled on a megan muffler. it came ups today and it looks VERY good. smooth clean welds, no dents or wavy metal on the canister. i am very impressed with their quality. so in aug i will dyno with my custome exhaust and megan header. i expect to clear 230 by a couple of horses. we'll see.

nobody has baselined the megan. but if you do a search you'll find a thread about a FI memebr that dyno'd with the header. he had belt slip so he was losing about one pound of boost. he only showed a 1 whp loss. so the header more or less cancelled out the boost lost. so you could say the the header made about 9 to the wheels.

old school rule of thumb is that 1 lbs of boost is good for 9-12 whp. so if he was down a lbs of boost and WITH the megan header ONLY lost 1 whp, then you could say its worth 9-12whp. i figure on a NA setup similar to mine, it should make 6-8 at the wheels. that combined with a 70mm single which are good for about the same amount i could be looking at a 17-20whp gain. my spoon was good for 9whp and had me at 221. so i figure the 70mm single is good for 9-10whp, and the header for 7-8whp. that should put me just past the 230 mark.

It was also about 20 degrees hotter ambient for his header dyno as well. I'm anxious to see your results...as of now my mind is made up on the Amuse header, but you might change it.

My AEM EMS w/ wideband comes in friday...I'm gonna change my plugs and fuel filter, then take it to 2nrwerks and get the valves adjusted and fully dyno tuned. I'll post before and after dyno's on the AEM EMS results

EMS is a great tuning tool. silver9K has a fully tuned EMS and he picked up great power. he is 5-6whp up on me. being able to fiddle with timing a couple degrees. best of luck to ya.
