Actually, gears barely give an advantage at higher speeds. They give an incredible advantage gears 1-3, but starts trailing off through each sucessive gear. When you get gears (like my 4.77) the car actually feels slow when you get above 70 or so because of how fast it is down low in comparison. I've ran other S's on the highway and don't pull much if at all, but down low I destroy most all cars.

Me too. If I'm autox'ing on pavement, I launch at 4500-5000. If I'm on concrete, I launch at 5700-6000

If I'm showing off giving a ride to someone that can't believe it's a Honda, I launch at 7 cook all of 1st gear, ride it out to 9, then redline thru 4th

Agreed low end gains are huge compared to top end but even top end you get a small gain vs stock and any gains at all I'll take it

4.77 will give you better low end but the top end will be minimal, 4.57s are the best all around.

There were a few races on the board were stock SCs raced each other and each time the 4.57s one pulled on non geared for freeway runs.

I can see the advantage in a SC, at the same speed the geared SC will have a instant boost advantage since the RPMs will be higher. Will also be getting boost much faster instead of boost gradually building up as your RPMs climb
