Yuppers I went for the Jenvey's because 1.) They are BAD ASS, and 2.) I got a deal I couldn't pass up on ebay. I can't wait for them to get here

Wait till you guys see what I've got up my sleeve for filtering...

If I understand correctly, the ITB's working with big cams and big exhaust = 240 - 260hp approx? And the ITB's produce big gains by allowing large amounts of air flow. Combine with more fuel and larger exhaust to generate very high hp for a NA setup.

Are there drawbacks to the ITB setup? Are the hard to tune? Can you daily drive with them?

They can be un-reliable and very hard tune... And for the money you will spend on them you could get alot more power with a turbo set up for them same price.

Drawbacks...cost, associative parts necessary to tune, hard to "undo", a bitch to tune w/o a basemap, filtering.

Cost: I got a great deal on ebay. Less than half the cost of the kit, and basically a set of 440 cc/min injectors free

Associative parts to tune: You pretty much need a standalone ECU to get all the benefits of ITB's. I have an AEM EMS w/ wideband already. An adjustable fuel pressure regulator is also needed. I still need to pick up one of those.

Hard to undo: Basically, fuel lines, vacuum lines, and throttle cables as well as other stuff, need to be cut/modified. The install itself is fairly straight foreward, but getting everything else hooked up and plumbed in correctly is a PITA.

Tuning: Basically, you need a completely different fuel and timing map to run ITB's, due to the fact that your airflow and mainfold absolute pressure are going to be very different from stock. Going from 1 62mm throttle body to 4 50mm throttle bodies is going to increase the velocity and volume of air dramatically.

Filtering: Ha! Good luck. Some kits come with provisions for a horizontally mounted filter, but basically, you're on your own. These kits are designed for race-only applications, hence, the lack of any filtering. I'll post pictures of my design when I'm completed with them.
